Regina Efimchik
brings over a decade of excellence as a writer,
presenter, manager, and university
instructor to WD Communications.
Her work with WD Communications has recently
focused on integrating technology into both
the classroom and online teaching
environments. In addition, she has been
tailoring and delivering courses to
multicultural participants overseas.
Regina’s strengths in training and coaching
include creating diverse interactive
opportunities, linking classroom activities
to on-the-job application, and creating a
supportive yet challenging learning
environment. One word often used when
describing her training style is
“enthusiastic.”
Regina previously served as program manager
for the M.A. in Strategic Communication and
Leadership at Seton Hall University (SHU).
She was instrumental in the successful
instruction, operations, and recruiting for
this flagship, blended-learning approach for
midcareer to executive learners. Her
committee work included integrating
technology into communication classrooms, as
well as incorporating communication
competencies into noncommunication
classrooms.
Her university teaching experience at SHU
and the College of St. Elizabeth includes
presentation skills, interpersonal
communication, business writing, marketing,
organizational communication, leadership,
group communication, and cross-cultural
communication.
Before her work with SHU, Regina managed the
marketing department of a scientific,
technical, and medical publishing firm. She
has published several articles on
communication and leadership.
Regina holds an M.A. in corporate and public
communication from SHU and a B.A. in English
Writing from East Stroudsburg University.
Amy Gallo
has enjoyed success as a general-practice
lawyer, a law professor, and an
accomplished marketing professional.
Her skills range from strategic
planning and sales-forecasting to
significant legal research and
documentation. As a lawyer, Amy
combined her abilities in
researching legal decisions with
developing logical, convincing
proposals, briefs, and
presentations. In addition, she has
developed and taught courses in
legal research and writing at the
university level.
While a consultant with West Legal
Publishing, Amy trained law firms on
using Westlaw to improve their
research skills in both print and
electronic formats.
Further experience as a search
director with a recruiting firm
allowed her to manage all aspects of
long-term, on-site contract
activities for a variety of
positions, including sales,
information technology, and human
resources. By training other
recruiters in negotiation skills and
presentations, Amy was instrumental
in expanding the organization’s
success.
As a communication consultant, Amy
supports the individual achievements
of each seminar participant as well
as the overall results for clients.
Her interest in helping people is
reflected in her undergraduate and
graduate studies. In addition to a
B.A. degree in social work from the
University of Pittsburgh, Amy also
holds J.D. from the Widener
University School of Law.
Danielle Heuer
has a high-energy delivery style and a
passion for learning. With 15 years
experience in consulting and training,
Danielle approaches each project and seminar
with the personal goal of motivating others
to learn and grow.
She previously managed a national training
team that prepared business managers to
retain customers and increase profits,
manage key relationships, and sell
solutions. With this experience, she has
grown into one of WD’s sales training
specialists. She understands the sales
process and challenges participants to
create and deliver objective-driven
presentations. Danielle gains commitment
from sales participants to consider
professional development as a necessary tool
to honing sales skills. In fact, Danielle
convinces sales participants and business
managers that a day spent out of their
territory and with WD will result in both
personal and professional dividends!
Danielle’s commitment to growth is apparent
in her willingness to take on high-profile
customized projects. Danielle has coached
writers to streamline newsletters, developed
podcasts that encourage knowledge transfer,
created seminars for writers of federally
regulated documents, and prepared students
to take placement tests. She is one of our
technology leaders, adapting content for
alternative methods of electronic delivery.
Her collaborative style makes her a client
favorite. She believes strongly in providing
a training solution that is adapted to
clients’ needs so that participants see the
immediate relevance to their development.
In addition, Danielle’s previous experience
managing an international team of research
assistants has shaped content in performance
management, customer service, telephone
etiquette, and cultural communications.
Having a broad background in consulting for
the technology, pharmaceutical, finance, and
medical industries, Danielle often serves as
resource for adapting content to align with
current industry challenges and needs.
Danielle holds an M.A. in corporate and
public communication from Seton Hall
University and a B.A in Communications from
Rutgers University.
Bobbi Knezek
is a cofounder of WD Communications. In that
role, she has had the opportunity to combine
her entrepreneurial skills, her lively
presentation style, and her desire to help
others strengthen their corporate
communication skills. With her three
partners, she built the company into a
successful consulting firm, specializing in
communication skills. Today, the company
provides more than 40 different seminars to
employees of Fortune 500 companies around
the world.
A firm believer that even the most skilled and
talented employees need to be able to
communicate effectively to be successful,
Bobbi has extensive experience designing and
presenting seminars that are relevant to
employees’ professional responsibilities.
She specializes in analyzing client needs
and creating seminars to address those
needs.
Bobbi is responsible for creating a series of
seminars focusing on improving the writing
of scientific documents that must meet
compliance requirements and are subject to
regulatory inspection. These seminars have
been presented to pharmaceutical employees
around the world and have resulted in
improved performance in audits.
In addition, she has developed seminars that
train physicians and other healthcare
providers to communicate more effectively
with patients. The goal is to increase
patient adherence and reduce malpractice
claims. Many of these seminars focus on
communicating with patients from other
cultures.
In her role as an executive coach, Bobbi helps
high-level managers prepare for major
presentations and polish their leadership
images. In addition, she represents WD as a
speaker at professional conferences. Most
recently, she was the keynote speaker at a
conference that focused on strengthening
women’s communication skills. As a woman
business owner, she finds it especially
rewarding to help other women develop
professional, credible communication styles
that are compatible with their job
responsibilities.
Before founding WD Communications, Bobbi
developed her love for the written word as a
newspaper reporter and her passion for using
innovative teaching strategies as a college
writing professor. She has a B.A. in English
from Wilkes University and an M.A. in
English from Rutgers University.
Michael
Mannon has been an
award-winning university instructor in the
United States, Europe, and Asia. Using his
background in writing and instructional
design, Mike has designed and customized
global communication skills seminars for
clients in the healthcare, information
technology, insurance, and petroleum
industries.
A dynamic speaker who believes in
straight-talk, Mike has focused his career
on creating and delivering engaging,
fast-paced, and immediately applicable
corporate training seminars.
In working with adult learners over the past
decade, Mike has developed a passion for
helping corporate employees take a greater
role in their own development. In his role
as presentation coach, performance
management facilitator, and writing
instructor, he has created practical, usable
tools and tips for employee empowerment.
Mike has created seminars for clients in
areas including Career Growth and
Development, Performance Management,
Executive Presentations, Interpersonal
Communication Skills, Technical Writing,
PowerPoint® Design, and E-mail
Effectiveness. Recently, his focus has been
on helping business professionals design
audience-targeted presentations. He believes
that the key to powerful business
presentations is engaging your audience with
humor and simple solutions.
Mike developed his expertise in teaching
intercultural communication during an
extended stay in Southeast Asia. As a
professor of English and Business at Prince
of Songkla University in Phuket, Thailand,
Mike designed innovative approaches to help
students collaboratively redefine their
roles in the Thai learning system.
In addition to a B.A. in English and
communications, Mike holds an M.A. in
English from James Madison University. As an
editor, he has two novels and an
award-winning text on process writing to his
credit.
Jill Mazza
is an accomplished consultant, trainer, coach,
and writer. With diverse experience spanning
television production, executive coaching,
and organizational training, she offers a
unique perspective into designing and
presenting memorable, relevant communication
training.
As a certified professional coach, Jill
works with clients to improve interpersonal
communication skills, resulting in more
day-to-day productivity as well as lasting
behavioral changes. Her coaching tools and
techniques produce measurable outcomes that
contribute to individual and group success.
A former international communication officer
for the United Nations Children’s Fund
(UNICEF), Jill managed key corporate
partnership accounts and created
communication plans, Web site content, and
global newsletters. In this role, she also
delivered communication-training workshops
at regional conferences and at annual
fundraising forums.
In addition, Jill was a national field
producer and on-air host for a continuing
medical education (CME) network. While
working in front of the camera, she also
managed project budgets and supervised
production crews. Using many of these skills
at WD Communications, Jill demonstrates a
natural ability to challenge, support, and
champion individuals and groups.
Jill holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology
from the University of Pittsburgh and a
master’s in business communication,
specializing in leadership and influence.
She has earned recognition as a Certified
Professional Coach (CPC) and an Energy
Leadership™ Master Practitioner from the
Institute for Professional Excellence in
Coaching (iPEC).
Barbara McGovern
is cofounder of WD
Communications.
In working with a diverse client base,
Barbara has a well-developed ability to
assess group needs and adapt content
accordingly. Her experience includes
seminars with clients in the financial,
insurance, pharmaceutical, transportation,
electronic communications, chemical, and
hotel industries, as well as with government
agencies.
Within the financial services sector she has
worked extensively in insurance, banking,
and securities brokerage. In addition, she
has tailored and presented writing seminars
for financial, auditing, and compliance
organizations of major corporations.
Her experience with pharmaceutical clients
has provided the background needed to
customize training for this audience.
Besides working with technical and
scientific writers, most recently she has
developed training for questioning
strategies during due diligence meetings and
accurate note-taking during meetings.
Barbara has special expertise with
multinational employees. In 1992, responding
to increasing globalization, Barbara began
to expand WD Communications to include
international training for current clients.
Since then she has conducted numerous
seminars abroad. Among the international
locations where she has presented seminars
are Japan, Korea, China, Singapore, Hong
Kong, Brazil, Mexico, Switzerland, France,
Germany, Ireland, England, Canada, and
Belgium.
Before founding WD Communications, Barbara
was a faculty member at Manhattan College
and Brookdale Community College. Barbara has
a B.A. in English from Nazareth College and
an M.A. in English from Fordham University,
where she was awarded a fellowship and
completed her Ph.D. coursework. She has also
studied at the NTL Institute of Applied
Behavioral Science, Bethel, Maine.
Ann Miller
is a recognized expert in the communication
field. At WD Communications, she has created
numerous seminars and job aids in every
subject category--all designed to give each
individual employee the best chance for
professional and personal success.
She is a requested coach for high-level
groups and individuals presenting
critical-impact information. These
situations have involved pharmaceutical
leaders speaking at an international
hematology conference and a CEO presenting
to members of the U.S. Congress.
Before joining WD, Ann was a university
instructor and the news director of a CBS
affiliate. She is an acknowledged
contributor to communication texts and is
the coauthor of a Mc-Graw Hill training
workbook. Recently, she was honored with an
award at the prestigious Harvard Medical
School Publishing Conference (2008).
Ann has been a featured speaker at the
International Business Conference in Hawaii.
She also partners with legal counsel to
speak on the appropriate and effective use
of e-mail.
Participants appreciate Ann’s engaging
style, her natural leadership, and her
problem-solving abilities. Clients credit
her extraordinary support with helping their
organizations excel. She is included in
Who’s Who in America and the 25th
anniversary listing of Who’s Who in American
Women. In addition, she is a member of the
American Medical Writers Association, the
Society for Human Resource Management, and

Ann has an undergraduate degree in English
and a master’s degree from the University of
Delaware in the combined fields of
linguistics and literature. She left her
doctoral work in linguistics to join WD
Communications and the “real world.”
Believing that learning never ends, she has
completed formal training in adult-learning
techniques, visual and statistical thinking,
and Chinese. She also earned
technical-writing certification from MIT.
Ann is convinced that deep in her soul is a
rock singer eager to make an appearance at
any time.
